In particular, the demo level I played had me face off against Ghostfreak, Ben's former form. Once you manage to clear all of the puzzles and get to the end of a stage, you'll face off against a boss. One, in particular, involved sliding down a series of tunnels, hitting the right button sequence to clear the hazards placed in front of you. Apart from the cloning brainteaser that I mentioned earlier, there were other sequences that you'd have to figure out, as well as quick time events that you had to solve. Each world isn't simply a brawler where you're fighting your way through hordes of creatures there are plenty of puzzles that you'll have to solve to progress through each stage. All of these will be important as you try to defeat each level.
Once you completely fill this bar, you unlock new abilities for your alien forms, providing them with stronger attacks, better defense or new skills. Each enemy you eliminate also provides you with experience points, measured by the yellow bar under the Omnitrix logo at the left side of the screen. While this energy will slowly refill over time, players can acquire more energy by defeating enemies. Although you can stay in any alien form, using the abilities of the aliens costs you Omnitrix energy, measured by a green bar on the left hand side of the screen. Ben could also fight as well, although his martial abilities aren't nearly as solid as some of the aliens he can become. For example, it was possible to change into Echo Echo, a tiny white alien who could clone himself, letting Ben move across large chasms. Players can select any one of these forms and stay in them as long as they'd like, allowing you to change between aliens to use specific abilities for various environmental puzzles. Ben has access to ten separate alien forms, some of which are from earlier seasons of the show. The demo that I was shown started shortly after Ben landed on a planet that was connected to Ghostfreak, an old form of Ben's that had gone rogue and been exiled from his Omnitrix. Ben, his cousin Gwen and Kevin, their former enemy, travel the stars in a spaceship that can be augmented and powered up over time to help the trio in their fight against enemy ships blocking them from their mission. Clearly, the setting of the game is unique for the series, as it will take place across the galaxy on the homeworlds of Ben's forms.
